I’m a builder at heart. I started coding in college, became hooked on creating things that didn’t exist before, and never really stopped.
As a kid, my favorite subjects were mathematics and literature. Software engineering eventually emerged as a natural synthesis of the two: rigorous problem-solving grounded in logic, paired with the disciplined expression of ideas through a precise, formal language.

I work on Figma's Monetization team, focusing on how new users progress from initial adoption to sustained, paid usage through thoughtful product and system design.
I'm also a Research Fellow at Contrary Research, where I write deep dives on private tech companies and the underlying dynamics that make businesses durable.
Outside of work, I spend my time reading, building side projects, writing, and running long distances.

Endurance training
Endurance training teaches consistency and the power of being process-oriented instead of outcome-oriented. As of 2026, I've run 8 marathons (2:55:44 PB) and completed one Ironman 70.3.
Building
I spend a lot of time outside of work doing what I do at work: writing code. Programming is a craft I genuinely enjoy honing. Side projects keep me sharp and give me space to build purely for the joy of building.
Reading
Reading is how I learn from people much smarter than I am. Every book is a compressed bundle of someone's life experience and hard-won insights.
Language Learning
Living in Taiwan and studying Mandarin taught me different ways of thinking and communicating. To me, language learning is the ultimate exercise in pattern recognition and cultural empathy.
I believe in shipping fast and learning from real users. Perfect is the enemy of good, and the best way to validate an idea is to get it in people’s hands.
